SIno-French Fusion Energy centeR
Associated laboratories SWIP-IRFM, ASIPP-IRFM have carried out common mid and long-terms programs of science and technology to support ITER and China/France Fusion Energy research program.
The WEST tokamak is upgraded to extend its capability of operation up to a duration of 1000s for test and validation of the ITER-grade plasma facing components, and for preparing the operation in ITER.
The WEST tokamak - operated at Cadarache by CEA and its worldwide partners (China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea and USA) - is now getting ready to enter into the operation Phase II, extending the plasma duration up to 1000s.
10500 masks donated by ASIPP and 20000 by SWIP, were timely delivered to the CEA-Cadarache Center when France is suffering from the rapid spread of virus and the lack of masks.
Support to ITER IO and partners, fusion device components and technologies, fusion science and experimental physics research, safety code and technical standard for fusion energy, next-step devices…
