French Journal RGN Pays Attention to Our Collaboration on CFETR

In November, the French journal, Revue Générale Nucléaire (RGN) published a special issue under the title “China, the New Giant of Nuclear”, which introduces the nuclear development in China. Among the focused projects which are considered as the key elements of “the New Giant”, China Fusion Engineering Test Reactor (CFETR) is regarded as the sign of China’s acceleration in nuclear fusion development.

RGN is a French journal published by the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN) since 1975. It has become a reference in the nuclear editorial world. By reading RGN, readers can discover the latest innovations and follow the technological progress in nuclear energy.

CFETR is the next-step fusion device in the roadmap for the realization of fusion energy in China, which aims to bridge the gaps between the fusion experimental reactor ITER and the demonstration reactor (DEMO). The establishment of SIFFER reflects the common desire of CEA and China to collaborate more closely for the future of magnetic fusion, with strong support for ITER and fusion projects in China, particularly the CFETR.
