Record of Longest Plasma Duration in Tore Supra and EAST

In December 2003, Tore Supra achieved 6.5 minutes' long-duration plasma pulse.

In June 2012, EAST achieved over 400s long pulse steady-state divertor discharge.

Joint Experiments on HL-2A

The joint experiments have provided relevant results for ITER operation: mitigation of heat load on in-vessel components, control of plasma instabilities, etc.

The joint experiments have discovered new physics phenomena: turbulences, energetic particles, etc.
