“A Whole New Dimension of Sino-French Collaboration on Fusion”, Reported ITER

​Recently, the establishment of SIFFER has attracted general attention from not only China or France, but also the world’s fusion community. On 4th December, ITER official website reported “a reinforced Sino-French collaboration”, predicting that SIFFER, contracted at the highest political level in both countries, will lend added strength to the ongoing collaboration to support ITER.

Iternational International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project is the largest international scientific cooperation project in the world. It's a France-based international nuclear fusion research and engineering project, whose purpose is to demonstrate the scientific and technological feasibility of fusion energy for peaceful purposes. It is jointly funded by China, the EU, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States.
