Sino-French Fusion Energy Center (SIFFER) is jointly established by the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST) to further promote bilateral cooperation on fusion energy research.

The purpose of SIFFER is to offer support ITER and its partners, develop fusion components and technologies, conduct experimental physics research, develop safety code and technical standard for fusion energy and prepare for next-step device.

The members who conduct cooperation under SIFFER are Institute for Magnetic Fusion Research (IRFM), ITER-CHINA, Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ASIPP) and Southwestern Institute of Physics (SWIP).
